Living Labs

The Living Labs are at the core of the project. Nine multi-actor living labs are supporting women-led interactive innovation initiatives in the socio-ecological transition space through two components:

  1. closed coaching sessions with women
  2. multi-actor sessions with women and relevant AKIS actors. In each Living Lab women innovators work with two lab co-leads, a women innovator and an academic.

In each Living Lab, the women innovators work with two co-leaders, a woman innovator and an academic. The women innovators are members of stakeholder organisations in each of the nine countries studied, and identify other women innovators to participate in the labs.

From the work done in these Living Labs, GRASS CEILING records the progress made by these women innovators through in-depth case studies and will educate the multi-stakeholders on the kind of support they need.

The results of user-led innovation will help inform policy and intervention practice when working with women innovators in the agricultural environment.

The Living Labs take place in 9 countries that represent different agricultural and rural realities as well as sociopolitical contexts.
