Awards

As part of our commitment to championing gender equality in agriculture and recognise rural women innovators, the GRASS CEILING project has established two targeted awards.

These awards are designed to highlight and celebrate the diverse contributions that are essential for building an equitable and prosperous rural future.

Our objective is to amplify the voices of those pioneering change. This includes not only the women who are leading socio-ecological innovation on the ground, but also the supportive allies whose actions are crucial for creating a truly inclusive environment.

The awards

The Rural Women Innovators (RUWI) Award celebrates and empowers women who are driving positive, socio-ecological change in farming and rural communities. Its aim is to increase the number of women-led innovations, fostering sustainability, inclusion, and well-being.

The Parental Leave Champions (PARCA) Award celebrates men, organisations, and initiatives actively promoting parental leave in rural areas. The award aims to advance gender equality by highlighting positive examples of shared caregiving and supportive workplaces.
