Welcome to GRASS CEILING

GRASS CEILING (Gender Equality in Rural and Agricultural Innovation Systems) is a multi-actor three-year project, funded by the European Union in the frame of Horizon Europe, grant agreement number 101083408. GRASS CEILING aims to empower rural women and increase the number of socio-ecological innovations led by women in agriculture, the rural economy and rural communities. The project will contribute to advancing the UN’s goals on gender parity, realise the EU Gender Equality Strategy, and achieve the goals of the Green Deal, the Farm to Fork strategy, the Long-Term Vision for Rural Areas, and the European Pillar of Social Rights.

Living Labs

Our Living labs are at the heart of the project. 9 multi-actor living labs will support women-led interactive innovation initiatives in the socio-ecological transition space through closed coaching sessions with women and multi-actor sessions with women and relevant AKIS actors. In each living lab women innovators work with two lab co-leads, a women innovator and an academic
