Parental Leave Champions Award (PARCA)

The Parental Leave Champions (PARCA) Award, part of the GRASS CEILING project, recognises and celebrates men, organisations, and initiatives that are driving cultural change in rural areas by promoting and practising parental leave. Its aim is to advance gender equality by showcasing positive examples of shared caregiving, supportive workplaces, and community initiatives that foster inclusive environments for women innovators and families in rural communities.
The award highlights the crucial role of men and organisations in challenging stereotypes, reducing stigma, and strengthening rural societies through more equitable parental leave practices.
The winner, who was officially announced in November 2025, gained visibility, recognition, and the opportunity to present their initiative at the GRASS CEILING Final Showcase Event, which took place on 4 December 2025 in Brussels. All travel, accommodation, and participation costs were covered by the project.
